Part of the reason there’s not been as much happening directly on the site is because there’s been a concerted effort to expand the MMM brand/knowledge through other channels. One of those channels has been the TheoTek weekly (Google) hangout. Featuring Kevin Purcell (Gotta Be Mobile), Rick Mansfield (Accordance, This Lamp), Wes Allen (Painfully Hopeful), myself, and LaRosa Johnson (Olive Tree, Urban Scholar) – we aim to feature topics relating to computer technologies and practices used in our local churches.
This latest hangout didn’t have me participating (life change in process), but did feature the rest of the cast (minus LJ) talking about a CRM and presentation-streaming software package called AirStream. After that segment, they talked a bit about creating graphics/videos on your iPad. Check it out via YouTube, RSS, Stitcher Radio (audio version for podcast clients this way), or iTunes.
If you’d like to check us out live, we publish links via Twitter (@TheoTekNews), Google+, and probably a few dozen other areas right before we go live 9AM Eastern Standard Time (GMT-4) every Friday (unless there’s a holiday). The resulting YouTube video automatically publishes a few hours after the live hangout is done – and the RSS/podcast links get updated usually by mid-week.
If you think you or a company/organization you know of would make for a good guest – just get in contact with us (Twitter is probably best; but leaving a comment to the YouTube channel works pretty well too).
