New design folks. Please place feedback in a comment to this post (I need to test a few pages that I cannot see until they are generated). Thanks.

So this is a comment on the new design; yep, old pages still look the same. Wanna make sure the bugs are out before redoing all the pages. But things looking ok so far....I hope.

I hate to say it, but the small-caps font you are using is very hard on the eyes, especially the bold, which is almost unreadable... and this is on a Mac.

Otherwise, I quite like the new layout.

Oh, btw, it seems I had to reset the css to get the page to show. When I just loaded it from the RSS feed, it was plain, generic html without the CSS.

I'll see if I can get on a Mac so that I can see what you are saying Jon about the fonts. I tend to forget that Macs can display some fonts differently, and I will tweak things as best as I can on that account.

As for the CSS Rest part, the previous 2 designs/skins used a cookie to set the style as they were swappable. Since I am using a completely new stylesheet, the cookie didn't like that. That might be solvable too.

Thanks for the comments thus far.

I'll be doing a full site refresh this weekend, I hope. There seems to be an issue with IE (as is usual the case with CSS) and hopefully that should help any who are viewing the site and referencing older posts.

I've not figured out a solution for the font issue with small caps, but it might just be a font-weight issue and so I'll probably play with that and go from there.

@demetri: I agree, it does look great on the tablet. That was an unexpected surprise as I did not even think about the tablet with this redesign. It was really more about making things brighter and more readable, and then extending the ability for others to contribue and use their gifts here.

I think the font issue should be cleared up, the comments now display nicer/cleaner. And I know what the IE issue is - I'll just have to fiddle around to figure a solution.
