How Do You Extend

The last two posts, we've talked about extending your mobile office to help mangage the tasks of doing ministry easier. But there's nothing like real world examples.

So what do you do to extend your office capabilities? And what hurdles have you encountered either personally or with your team?

(Lord willing, a question like this in the future can be met with some kind of giveaway to help some of you on who are doing this already)

My Mobile office is expanded with two basic devices: iPhone and an HP iPAQ 211. Here is how they are used and why I have not converged.

iPhone: As the name implies, its primary use is a phone. As you'd expect, my office is expanded to soccer & dance practices for voice & text messages. As the iPhone currently does not support local apps or storage of documents, I just cant not rely on it solely sinc it quickly becomes a brick in spotty areas. that is where my HP iPAQ 211 comes to the rescue.

HP iPAQ 211: Here is where my iPAQ continues to shine. 4" screen, tons of storage & expandability. Here I can keep my notes, word documents, spreadsheets, etc. All available for viewing & updating and syncing updates back to the laptop.

These two devices also worked suprisingly well w/ keeping my Bible studying in sync regardless of which device I have thanks to Laridian. Laridian allows me to sync my notes/ bookmarks/ highlights from the iPAQ w/ the desktop and then up to the iPhone.

Dopo Ognora, do you work with a team, or is it mainly you? And are there those that you are over in your team if you work in a team setting?

How does using those two devices help in those instances?
