How do churches, mission groups, organizations, communities, parents, and people respond to life when their use of mobile technology intersects with their faith? Here, we not just ask that question, but present the foundations for answering it. Read more about Mobile Ministry Magazine (MMM) and its mission/vision.

Another (few) iPhone Bibles

And here is another iPhone Bible (w/LDS): http://tall.mountainmighty.com/
ok, at this point, I am pretty impressed with the number of folks building Bible widgets/sites for the iPhone. The only thing I don;t like is that they are all looking the same. It would be nice to see a few skins, but I think that is something that n iPhone SDK will have to address.

And yes, this is part of that rabbit hole thingy.

Well, iPhone Bible will not look like that for long. I have been busy updating it, and the beta looks very different. I hope you like it. :)

I agree. They all look the same. So I am working on what I hope is a pretty cool iPhone Bible that is different from the others.

This iPhone Bible is still in the works, but already it has some cool features. Plus, I will add other translations (for now it is KJV).

check it out, iBiblez.com

I have used a PDA with a bible application for many years.

I'm going to upgrade to an iPod Touch, but I want to have a Bible app I could download, and not have to access it through wifi.

My reasons are:

Most the places I want to read don't have wifi, including at church, trains, and planes.

I want to turn of my wifi on the iPod touch, so I have longer battery life when I read the Bible.

Many warnings are out there about wifi health warnings. Germany has issued these warnings, and in some countries they have put on limitations on wifi use, because of the health risks.

I prefer to have the bible ap in my iPod, and not be dependent on wifi. Hopefully you or someone could help.

You can find the iPod KJV Bible (iPod Bible-King James Version_fixed.zip) from my website:
http://www.mikeanddana.com/share/

I had to change the chapter number so that it would sort correctly on my iPod Video. The string sort is a problem: Genesis 10 comes before Genesis 2. I added 0's for the single digit chapters and 00's for Psalms (001, 002, ...).

Just unzip the zip file to the Notes directory of the ipod drive. Ipod has limit of 1,000 files and 4k file size, so it can't display the whole bible. Copy the 1,000 chapters you like. Enjoy!
