Rapier Bible Reader for N800

According to a post at Internet Tablet Talk's forums, the Bible reader Rapier is now a bit easier to get onto one's N800 Internet Tablet via an install file.

According to the site, "Rapier is a python bible reader application for maemo. It uses the Sword library to access bible translations, as well as to search text occurrences in the available books."

Looks like there is an Bible Reader for the N800. Doesn't seem like an easy install, but then again, it could be fun. Comment if you have installed this on your N800 (or are using a Bible reader with the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet). I'm interested in hearing some of the positives and negatives before I take a stab at this.

Thanks to darethehair for the info and link

I have found Rapier impossible to install. I needs 3 other files -libgdbm3, libncurses5, libreadline4.

Any help out there?

You should be able to just go to the Rapier website and download it fine now. While I've been having issues with the download failing right at the end, others have not had this issue and have been able to install just fine.

Installed it easily on the N800 with OS2008. The Bible modules work fine, but I can't get the book modules to work yet. I'm a newbie on the N800 having had it less than a week.

For the book modules, you would need to download them from the tool inside of the Rapier application.

I actually figured out that to install Rapier on my N800 (w/OS2008) that I had to use the Red/Blue Pill switch in order to do so.
