Handheld Device Reads to the Visually Impaired

Take for example this story reported in the Dallas Morning Star. A handheld device that has been designed specifically to allow for those with visual impairments to be able to "read" content that would not normally be able to be read to them. And judging from the comments in the article, it was not only well functioning, but well designed. The only knock on it was its nearly $3500 price tag.
Regardless of the price tag, this is still an impressive feat and one that should put all of us on notice in the content and device producing areas that sometimes usability and accessiblity need to take the front seat to affulence.
