Reflection of the World or the Word
I am sitting here on a Friday night just taking some time to ease into the night and using my Treo to connect to my work TabletPC to clean the email server and I had the rememberance that it has been a while since MMM has posted towards the responsiblities of the Christian with mobile technology. Yes, we all have our Bibles and can pull from several resources this or that, but whom really are we modeling our use of technology after: the world, or the Word?
Taken facevalue this is a weirld question. But look again and you see a piece of a people who are walking into the technological wilderness with little to no direction. As a Christian, we cannot say that, there is a manual for our lives that we go to directly and speaks to dang near everything that we'd go through. So why question if we are walking with the world or the Word? Simple, Moses did that to the Isrealites, and when they asked God what His standards were, they were so different, they were easily recognizable for whom they stood under (as long as they didnt mix gods) while living in the same wilderness.
So is there a "10 Commandments" for online use that we should be following? No. Is there a standard nonetheless? Yes. In the next installment of this, we will cover exactly what things we can do to be in this tech wilderness, but still have the fragrance and feel of our Heavely Father.
