PalmOS or Windows Mobile

Image: QR Code of PalmOS or Windows Mobile
Probably one of the more interesting debates that happen in the mobile technology world is that of PDA users and whether the PalmOS or Windows Mobile platform is better than the other. Personally, I am a PalmOS guy (and yes I have been told about the PalmOS slant on here and I am working to change that 8^) ) and find that the PalmOS more functionaly for MY NEEDS.

Well, in the spirit of good discussion, I did find on Palm Addict today a link to a very interesting compairson to Palm versus Windows Mobile at a website called TuxTops. Its really balanced and can serve as a good example of how to present an argument on theological terms in such a way that a person hears and considers you, and you don't bash them.

The other reason that I post about these two platforms now is because I visited my aunt and uncle's church yesterday and there were a ton of PDA users there. I admit, seeing PDAs in church always gets me thinking that they should be used for more than just note taking and so I looked at the users that I could see and just tried to get a handle on how they were using their PDAs. I could only see but so much, but it made me think that if in church we can be given bookmarks for our print bibles, and handouts for bullitens. Why cant there be something for those that have PDAs? Granted, the hard part is dealing with the differences between Windows and PalmOS PDAs, but after than, things really do get simple. I wonder what could be done.

So yea, that is something that I am thinking of right now. If you do have content for the Windows Mobile/Pocket PC or Linux Mobile side of things, feel free to send something in. There are many ways to be effective with the Word on your mobile device, and no matter what OS you use, tell us about it. It may spark a revolution.
