News Bits for Friday
Here in the DC Metro area, its raining. But there is some news to report on and so here goes it.
PocketPC Thoughts reports that Missing Sync for Windows Mobile has been released. If you are looking at getting a Windows Mobile PDA/Smartphone and have a Mac, then this is the ONLY syncing solution for you. Missing Sync is also availaible for PalmOS devices.
Yesterday, most tech news outlets covered that Tapwave, the makers of the PalmOS Zodiac gaming/multimedia handheld, has ceased support and selling operations effective immidiately (here is one of many links about it). Its more of a fact of marketing than anything else. If you never played with this PalmOS PDA, it is said that you missed a good device.
PocketPC Thoughts had an excellent article about traveling mobile-style with your PDA. If you are looking to have your PDA replace a laptop, or didnt know that it could do so, this article has some really good points.
BargainPDA's daily news quicks has some other news items. Your's truely also writes over there, so if you happen to read something that you like from my end, let me know and I will repost the article here.
That's about all for now. Haven't checked MMM email yet, so there yet be some more articles coming before the end of the day. Remember that there are two Verizon phones availiable for US homed missions. I am looking to secure some more goodies (hopefully some that can be shipped overseas) for more extensions of MMM purposes.
I am in the process of setting up a PayPal account for MMM. This would provide a means for people to donate towards imporving MMM (getting tech tools and materials, paying for the upcoming hosting/domain name stuff, etc.). The icon for sending funds here will appear on the site soon. In the meantime, donations can be sent to MMM via the MMM email addy (mobileministry at antoinerjwright.com).
Thanks to all for your support. Hopefully, MMM can make good on its want to equip for ministry, and be a light for techie Chrisitans on the web.
