A Free Thought
To those in the US, I hope that you are enjoying a blessed and freedom filled Independance day. To those not in the US, I do hope that everyday for you is an independance day. For whom the Son sets free is free indeed :)
I noticed the scripture for the day and wanted to comment on it. It says: “ Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. ” (Psalm 33:12)
Thinking about that in the context of independance and freedom I notice that I have probably taken some of my freedoms for granted. For example, I got a call today from a friend who needed some tech support. I never really thought about it, but I only figured out how to fix computers, because I was so prone to break them. And even now, I know a lot of what I know about mobile technology because there were ares of my life that were broken and needed fixin'.
Praise God for his grace though. You see, I could have been bound to the technology, graphics, or even being online. But God saw fit to send around my life friends who imitated Jesus. These people got me out of the room/dorm and into a place where the technology that I learned by accident, could be put to the use of blessing my brethren. That's why today I celebrate freedom. Not just because I live in a free nation, but I was called to be a free person. Constrained only by the love of God, and personally; I like that nothing can seperate me from His love.
