Cingular and Verizon Treo Updates
I have been looking at possibly moving to a Cingular/Unbranded Treo 650 as my connected PDA solution, and to that end news about what has been going on with the Treo has interested me. Last night, Palm released an update for those who use the Treo 650 on Cingular and last week there was an update for those who use the 650 on Verizon (Sprint, Orange, and Rogers all came a month or more ago).
Now, one might ask why would I consider a smartphone after saying how happy I am with my T5; the main reason is that I would like to carry one less device than what I am carrying. I don't mind carrying my phone and T5 usually, but there have been some days where I have wanted just my phone, but needed a number that was on the T5. I have also been doing a lot more in terms of developing mobile formatted sites, and want to be able to test things in a more live setting than I have been.
Its only a want though. The 650, though a really nice smartphone, does not have enough memory to be a suitable replacement for my T5, and so to that end I am more inclined to wait until something with at least as much memory as my T5 (but looks like and acts like the 650) is released.
