The Phenomenon Hits Christians Too
That above story was not real of course, but when you read stories like this about something as small as a movie, one has to really wonder what we would do if we did know when Jesus would be coming back.
EDIT: Peep the scripture of the day on the right: it fits don't ya think
"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. (James 3:17,18)"

Hello all,
Love the site. This is my first post, so I hope I'm not too serious.
Interesting thot no doubt. Unfortunately this date setting, endless speculation, and escapist thinking is one of the greatest "black eyes" upon our Lord's Church. These things have created tremendous cynacism for centuries and has become a real barrier for unbelievers to hear the truth about Christ's Gospel.
Several years ago I came a across a book which is not that widely circulated, called "The Day and the Hour". Written by Francis Gumerlock, it is a historical record of the mountains of failed "return of Christ" predictions through EVERY century since Christ's ascension. For 2,000 years the story is exactly the same as the article above with the same results ... they are 100% wrong, "in Jesus' name". :-(
This records list after list historically documented from every century of things like Beast suspects, False Prophet, 666, Great Harlot, "Elijah", 2-witnesses, wars, man of Sin, anti-Christ, year-day theory etc etc. What "well meaning" Christians have done to distort the message of the cross absolutely sobered me.
I don't have any connection with this particular book, but I will say that I was wide eyed for hours seeing how we have been constantly hoodwinked for centuries. It seems that there is no let up in our generation either.
MMM, keep up the great work!
Not to serious at all ;) Thanks for visiting.
