Looking for A Few Good...

Ok all, its been a few weeks with Mobile Ministry Magazine, and I am very pleased at the responses that people have been sending in via email and the comments. I would like to know from you what MMM could do to be a better resource. Anything that you can think of will be considered; but if you need a guide think about those things that people in ministry most need to see on a site.

Also, I am looking for other daily writers. You would not have to write everyday, but a few times a week would be just fine. Articles would be short, and follow the pattern of those already posted. Reviews of resources and websites are always great topics, as are short pieces on recent news items and their parallels to Scripture. At this point, I cannot say that I can pay for doing this; but I am looking at ways to have MMM support itself (thru donations mainly). Also, if you are a daily writer (gotta come up with a title for that person(s)), you will have the chance to write for future issues of Mobile Ministry Magazine.

And finally, just looking for a few good prayers. I have gotten so much out of MMM, and it has gone as far as helping me in my relationship with my fiance and be more consistent with daily devotions, and keeping in the Word. I just ask that if you have a minute or two, that you make mention of MMM in your prayers.

Thanks again for visiting Mobile Ministry Magazine, and I pray that something here this week will bless you, correct you, instruct you, or just blow your mind because of who God is.

I appreciate MMM very much. The heart beat of the ministry is very much in line with what I think.

One thing I would like to see more of is reviews of applications, and ways that people use their PDAs.

I'm an "old school" Palm guy (I still can't get used to typing PalmOne) and up until very, very recently had been using Palms like Vx's and IIIxe's.

I'm finding that the Tungsten E, and to a much greater extent, the E2 have opened up for me doors that had not been opened in the past.

WiFi, and Bluetooth, and RSS feeds (on a Palm!) are all very new to me, and I'd be interested in hearing what others are doing with their devices, and the apps that make it possible.

I'm interested in hearing subjective reviews of apps and devices that present both pros and cons and not just the "rants" that you find in so many of the forums.

I also appreciate MMM, which is why I was working so hard to get it mobile.

I would be interested in helping you with content for the site. I have been toying with writing for a while. I published two newsletters here at work for co-workers who used handhelds. This combines two of my passions, Ministry and Handhelds together!

At the moment, I am using a PalmOne Tungsten T3, but I got a new computer at work, and they are not going to allow me to connect it, so they are providing me a PocketPC as well. So I will have two devices. I will be using the Palm for personal items (like offline reading, Bible, keeping track of my home tasks, and my role as National Financial director for Sigma Theta Epsilon - National Christian Service Fraternity), and the PPC for work related tasks.

So I will be in a unique position to try stuff on both as I use them both seperately.

I will follow up with an email to you later today (hopefully, my wife is 3 days past her due date, so my time may be limited soon :)).

Alex;
you sound as if you have the grounds for a lot of good content there. When things calm down for you and your wife (and soon to be little one), feel welcome to send in contributions. I do not use a WinMobile device very often, so hearing from one who does should make for some more balanced writing here.

A.Jay;
I'll do my best to keep the rants to a bare minium, and still apply everything to growing according to 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

Thank you both, and everyone else, who visits.
