Digitize Your World?
Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of not doing the paper thing when it comes to just about everything but drawing and a few maps. I can even replace telephone copletly with email if given the chance. But what about the Word. I have noticed that you can digitize and synthesize just about everything, but when it comes to the Word, it is always the same. Sure, you can view it in different mediums, hear it from different people, and even experience it via a different language. But it doesnt change. You have to admit, for all of the digitizing that is happening, it is really good to know that the most important thing doesnt change at all.

It is good to know that some things don't change. As a matter of fact, I'm sitting here thinking about it, and perhaps God's Word is the only thing that DOESN'T change.
And while digital music and e-books are fun and useful, even having an electronic Bible is good, but there are few things that are as comfortable for me as picking up a real, honest to goodness, leather bound, full sized Bible, that won't quit if your batteries do. Few things are as authoratative to me.
So while they have their place, I pray that there will never come a day when the preacher will take the pulpit with only an electronic Bible.
