Was on the way home last night reading the BBC News on my PDA and came across Hosea 4:6 being proclaimed by media. Ok, so not exactly, the article was about how parents who are not net-literate creating environments of failure for their children in net-literacy. When I read that I was like, "wow!" You mean to tell me that when people don't how how to navigate in the world due to their parents, they are set up for failure? Ain't that some living Word for ya.

Although I did not hear or see the article you mentioned, just based on what you said, in many ways, I would agree with it.
Love it or hate it, the internet is here to stay, and it's an important way to disseminate information today. It's not hard to tell when you first start talking to someone whether they are web savy or not. I think it's important for our children to know how to leverage the internet and shine a light into cyberspace.
It's a part of our culture (and whether that's right or wrong may be another issue all together) but it's here to stay. We might as well do whatever good we can, right?
Grace and peace.
